ACCM will be starting up our treatment literacy series once again this fall. Come and join us on Tuesday September 9th at the Centre St. Pierre, 1212 rue Panet from 6:30 pm to 8 pm in room 1205. Dr. Julian Falutz will be talking about HIV treatment and aging. Concerned about aging and what is happening with your body, your meds, your HIV? Then this is an evening you will find informative. Please be sure to call the office at 514-527-0928 or e-mail me to sign up in advance because there will be a dinner and we need to make sure we have enough for everyone.
Future treatment literacy topics will be HIV treatment as prevention, and HIV treatment and Sexually Transmitted Infections. Don’t miss them and be sure to sign up in advance.
In other news, Sean Hosein of CATIE has written a very informative article on the links between Diabetes and Nucleoside Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitors (NUKES). Don’t be alarmed. Read the article and become informed about your medications.
